dog fight

I enjoyed reading this poem was because the author keep me on the edge of sit from start to finish. The poem is about these two cars racing through various towns like Inglewood and Compton. I like how the author explained how fast the cars were going, and how the cars we a team as they passed through other cars on the street. The diction in the story catches the minds of the audience by the measure of speed, slow lanes and how the cars maneuvered through the city of Los Angeles. The story gave me a visual picture of the things that were going on in the story. I enjoyed trying to visualize the how the car maneuver through traffic and how they had to reduce their speed because of the empty school bus and inflammable tanker. Personally, this was my favorite because when I was little I love racing go karts and bikes. Me and friends would always racing our bikes to against each other weekends and loser pays for the winners food at the end of the day.
